Access to the records
For copyright reasons, MEMOBASE cannot offer direct access to all content.
The records indexed in MEMOBASE are not centrally stored – they are located in various institutions throughout Switzerland. Each record’s location is indicated in the metadata’s detail view. The physical storage location and the copyright conditions are described under the Dublin Core element "source". The signature number or the order number – if any – are listed under the element "resource identifier".
Under “links to other resources”, some photography collections include a link to low-resolutions photos that are accessible online.
The radio recordings listed in MEMOBASE are stored in the Swiss National Sound Archives in Lugano and may be listened in listening spots. Broadcast recordings of "Echo der Zeit" are also accessible at the Swiss Federal Archives SFA in Bern.
