Membership
Memoriav hopes to develop a close collaboration with the authors and producers of audiovisual recordings, with representatives from the fields of science and research, with copyright associations and with all persons or institutions interested in this subject.
How may interested parties participate in the activities of Memoriav?
The statutes of Memoriav provide for three types of membership:
- Founding members (annual contribution of CHF 10,000)
- Collective members (annual contribution of CHF 300)
- Contributing members (annual contribution of CHF 100).
Private or public institutions with their home offices in Switzerland may become collective members. Their mission and activities involve securing and acquiring items belonging to Switzerland's audiovisual cultural heritage and making them available to the public. Naturalized and legally independent persons may be accepted as contributing members if they exhibit an interest in the goals of Memoriav and help to achieve those goals (see Statutes Article 6). All members may participate in discussions and make suggestions. However, voting rights and the right to be elected to the board of directors are reserved for founding and collective members (Art. 8).
